Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA) at DIAS is a four years full time program designed to set the foundation for the future managers. It involves detailed study of different aspects of the business and managing its operations. It equips the students with the latest business knowledge to meet the requirements of changing corporate firms. Today’s global economy rewards people who can traverse borders, understand cultures and operate in international context. The course aims at explaining the business environment in which the public and private sectors operate. It helps students to develop decision making ability in real time business situations. The Bachelor of Business Administration program not only enables students to achieve a professional qualification but also assists management graduates in relating their skills to the needs of business.

On the successful completion of the program requirements, a student is awarded Bachelor of Business Administration by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Teaching methods for BBA at DIAS include – lectures, case studies, seminars, group discussions, role plays, simulation exercises, extensive on the job industrial training, real life projects and field visits. The emphasis is on involving the students in the learning and helping them to relate concepts and theories to business requirements. Consistent with advances in teaching technology, the program integrates the use of computers in learning of the basic principles in different functional areas of management. It also enables students to acquire skills in identifying and dealing with complex problems in management, especially in the era of globalization of industrial and commercial activities and the tremendous competition that ensues.

Apart from this general pedagogy, advanced and slow learners are identified based on their graduation marks and further on results of the first year end term examination. Special measure like remedial classes in select subjects, assignments and personal counseling is extended to slow learners. Advanced learners are encouraged to participate in business plan, write research papers and present them in National and International Conferences & Seminars.

On the one hand, Business research facilitates problem identification and analysis for market research; on the other, Operations Management figures out practical problems in production which ultimately helps in strategy formulation in business. A student shall obtain his/her degree if

• The total number of credits for BBA Programme 3 years (Single Major with Single Minor) is 136.
  Each student shall be required to appear for examination in all courses. However, for the award of the 3 Year BBA Degree, a student should secure at least 127 credits.
• The total number of credits for BBA Programme 3 years (Double Major) is 144.
  Each student shall be required to appear for examination in all courses. However, for the award of the 3 Year BBA Degree, a student should secure at least 136 credits.
• The total number of credits for BBA Programme 4 years (Single Major) is 176.
  Each student shall be required to appear for examination in all courses. However, for the award of the 4 Year BBA(Honours) Degree, a student should secure at least 168 credits.
• The total number of credits for BBA Programme 4 years (Double Major) is 184.
  Each student shall be required to appear for examination in all courses. However, for the award of the 4 Year BBA(Honours with Research) Degree, a student should secure at least 176 credits.
