The Institute has formed a forum comprising of students and faculty advisors for organizing various extracurricular activities. The forum endeavors to develop the personality of students and also assists in unleashing creativity and enhancing team spirit. Events, cultural and sports activities are organized at the intra-institute and inter-institute levels. These include Presentation Contests, Quizzes, Ad-Mad Contests, Collage Competitions, Web Page Designing Contests, Solo Song Competitions, Poetry Recitation Competitions, Case Study Competitions, Debate Competitions, Indoor and Outdoor sports activities, etc.More than 30 events/ Programmes have been organized by Students Technology Forum (STF) in last 4 years. Students participated in more than 70 events in different colleges/ Universities during the last 4 years. More than 150 prizes have been won by students of DIAS in various Events conducted by different colleges/University.

TEACHERS DAY 2024
The Teachers’ Day Celebration 2024 began with an inaugural address by the Academic Director of DIAS, Dr. S. N Maheshwari emphasizing the pivotal role of educators in nurturing young minds. This was followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana, invoking blessings for wisdom and learning, setting a serene tone for the event. The event unfolded with a series of exciting cultural performances by students, expressing their admiration and gratitude for their mentors.

- The Dramatic Society presented an act showcasing the role of a teacher in motivating students to overcome under confidence.
- Dance Performances: A vibrant and energetic dance performance by the DIAS dance society, Venom, enthralled the audience, showcasing the artistic talent of the students. In a special “Gratitude Session”, students shared heartfelt messages, anecdotes, and poems dedicated to their favorite teachers, creating a memorable and emotional atmosphere. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. N Malti (Director), expressing gratitude to all teachers, participants, and organizers for making the event a grand success. A high tea session followed, providing an informal setting for faculty and students to interact, share experiences, and celebrate together.
ANNUAL SPORTS MEET-2024 @ GGSIPU
The Annual Sports Meet 2024, held at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Dwarka, from 17th to 20th October 2024, witnessed an exciting showcase of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Students from Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies (DIAS) participated enthusiastically in various events, including Football, Kabaddi, Badminton, Tug of War, March Past, Race, and Weightlifting. . The weightlifting events were the highlight of the meet for DIAS, with Jatin Thapa winning the gold medal in the 85kg category and Guneet Kanwar securing the silver medal in the 80kg category, both delivering outstanding performances with exceptional strength and determination.
The students’ active involvement in diverse events reflected their dedication and commitment to excellence, bringing pride and recognition to DIAS. The Sports Meet provided a platform for intercollegiate interaction and athletic excellence, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition.
DIAS students upheld the values of teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship, making their mark in various events. Their stellar performances, particularly in power-lifting, reaffirmed their hard work and preparation, contributing significantly to the institute’s achievements. FRESHERS PARTY (GENESIS) 2024
The Freshers’ Party 2024 was a spectacular event, filled with fun, entertainment, and bonding moments, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved. The evening commenced with a welcome address by students’ coordinators, setting a lively and cheerful tone. The vibrant décor of Marina Dreams Banquet Hall complemented the theme, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the freshers.

- Talent Showcase by Freshers: Freshers enthusiastically participated in a talent hunt, presenting various skills like singing, stand-up comedy, and mimicry, adding a personal touch to the celebrations. A major attraction of the evening was the “Mr. and Ms. GENESIS”, “Mr. and Ms. Fantastic” and “Mr. and Ms. Well Dress up” which included rounds such as introductions, talent showcases, and a Q&A session judged by faculty and senior students.
The winners were crowned with much fanfare, receiving trophies and gift hampers as tokens of encouragement. DIWALI CELEBRATION 2024
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the STF Cultural Committee, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their enthusiastic participation and acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team in making the event truly memorable.
MEET AND GREET – ORIENTATION DAY- 27th August 2019
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the students followed by Dr. S.N. Maheshwari, Academic Director, DIAS sharing his words of wisdom and enlightening and inspiring the students to work harder in the formative years of college itself in order to build a strong foundation for a glorious future. Dr. N. Malati, Director, DIAS addressed the students giving a warm welcome and insight into life. She guided and motivated the freshers to adopt the spirit of innovation and creative research. She also gave a detailed description on the curriculum and the examination pattern. During the orientation, Dr. Anju Batra, Assistant Professor and Coordinator BBA, Ms. Neetu Chadha, Assistant Professor and Coordinator B.Com (H) & Dr. Shilki Bhatia Assistant Professor and Coordinator MBA interacted with the freshers to provide them an insight into the course curriculum. They briefed the students regarding the various co -scholastic activities which gave them an assurance that the curriculum involves self-directed, hands-on learning activities which not only give vent to their creative talents and energies but also help in their all-round development of each student. Dr. Shilki Bhatia, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, MBA gave an overview on placement activities at the college and showed glimpses of latest placement trends and sensitized the students with the work ethics and professional challenges they will face & filled students with zeal and optimistic approach. The Orientation Program allowed all the students to be formally introduced to their HOIs and faculty members. The students were assured that DIAS would provide holistic education to the students and ensure a success path for better future. Overall it was a fruitful event and the students were in high spirits after attending the orientation programme.

ANNUAL CULTURAL FEST”ECSTASY”- 2020
The Institute’s Annual Fest Ecstasy is tantamount to zeal, competition, elation, triumph and tradition. It is an effective pedestal for students to unleash their creativity and showcase their talent. Living up to its spirit, ‘Ecstasy-2020’ was an assortment of various cultural and literary activities honoring the students’ interests, competencies and creativity through its theme- ‘Gen Z: The Game Changers’.
Gen-Zers are virtually insatiable in their pursuit of purpose—something bigger than themselves to ardently take part in. And when they find a cause that genuinely moves them, they pursue it with unrivaled, unapologetic passion. Technology may provide the platform, and education may supply the impetus, but it is Gen Z’s passion that makes them so precociously prominent and powerful on the world stage. In nutshell, Gen-Z adds zing to life.
With this thought DIAS celebrated ECSTASY 2020, “Gen Z: The Game Changers”. “Ecstasy”, the annual mega cultural fest of the institute creates stars for tomorrow by giving them a platform to showcase their potential. It was again the time of the year when DIAS embarked upon its preparation for this mega festival with huge fanfare and fervor. DIAS proudly invited Gen-Z to be the game-changers and etch out their names in the DIAS Hall of Fame.
This year, the college festival witnessed huge participation from all around Delhi with more than 120 colleges and institutes. The festival comprised of several events which included Gully Cricket, Treasure Hunt, Rangoli Making, Debate competition, Group singing, Solo Dance, Group Dance, photography and Mr. And Ms. Ecstasy. The entire day was a perfect blend of literary and cultural events, from debate to dance, from collage to dramatics; ECSTASY had something for everyone. Participants from all walks of student’s life and different parts of the capital came together for Ecstasy. All through the festival, the campus came alive with fervor and activity, with the entire campus playing host to a myriad of events.

It is well said: “Happiness is like a butterfly- if pursued, is always beyond your grasp, but if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you”. Participation in extra-curricular activities brings happiness in our dull and monotonous lives. It rejuvenates us to perform better in our professional and academic front. In today’s competitive environment, a person has to be an all-rounder to be globally competitive and universally acceptable. Ecstasy’20, the institute’s cultural festival is a continued link in the direction.
Dr. Maheshwari stated that the central theme of this year’s ecstasy “Gen Z: The Game Changers” is in consonance with the present times. He laid special emphasize upon the fact that India is one of the youngest nations in the World, with about 65 per cent of the population being under 35 years of age. Empowered youth is energetic, vibrant & passionate. They have to be provided with right amount of guidance and support for contributing positively to the society. With this idea the theme of Ecstasy-2020, “Gen Z: The Game Changers” promoted Gen-Z’s rights, their activism and the role of youth in community decision making as they are the leaders in the making.
Dr. Maheshwari introduced the chief guest, Dr. Shekhar Aggarwal, Delhi to the august audience and welcomed him to the institute. He thanked all the participants and congratulated them for winning prizes in the competition. He encouraged the students to keep trying for things in life till they succeed in getting it.
He also expressed his thanks to the team of energetic and enthusiastic teacher and student volunteers who meticulously organized, conducted and concluded this mega event with total precision and professionalism under the pleasing and dynamic leadership of Dr. N. Malati, the Director of the Institute.

Dr. N. Malati welcomed the guests, faculty members and the participants of various institutes and the audience with her lovely words of welcome. She emphasized how the power of the youth of any nation is an index that will define the know-how of the future of that country. The skilled and the enthused young people have the power to re-write the history, describe the future references and make the best of the upcoming opportunities on their way. With no contradictions, the Gen-Z is the present which will lead the future of India. Their power to accept the challenges and take the risks thrown at them makes them more an asset of all the existing age groups in the society. It is this enthusiasm that makes them the undisputed leaders of the respective initiatives being taken upon. The human race witnesses the zeal at peak during this span and this accounts to be a prime power of Indian youth. The theme of the current festival “Gen-Z” is apt in the current times and also goes quite well in the current scenario.

Dr. Shekhar Aggarwal opened his speech by emphasizing the fact that cultural fests are an integral part of college life, which adds extra edge amongst the students who perform and take part in these activities. He shared with the students some of the important lessons that he has learnt in his life. Relating to the Ecstasy-2020 theme ‘Gen-Z: The Game Changers’, he accentuated the fact that the Gen-Zers have acted as the drivers of change and a force to be reckoned with. They’re not trying to change the world; they are the change. With this he congratulated all the winners of Ecstasy-2020 and gave away prizes to them.

TEACHER’S DAY
Every year, 5th of September, birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India and an eminent scholar, is celebrated in India as “Teacher’s Day”. The celebrations for the same were organized by the students of Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies to honour and pay a token of respect to their teachers as the teachers are believed to be the architect of the society and without them no society can walk in the path of progression.
The event commenced with words of wisdom from Dr. S.N. Maheshwari, Professor Emeritus and Academic Director, DIAS followed by moving words from Dr. N. Malati, Director, DIAS. Students of the institute dedicated a heart-warming video to the teachers depicting the vital role of teachers in a student’s life touching the hearts of the teachers. Students also presented a play depicting how life itself is a great teacher and we are in a state of constant learning. The teacher’s day was celebrated with vivacity wherein students entertained their teachers with a string of mesmerizing singing and dance performances and spoke about the unconditional contribution of the teachers in their lives. As a token of appreciation, titles and gifts were given away to the teachers. Post this, the faculty members came forward in unison to cut the cake. The program was well organized by the students and enjoyed by the teachers of DIAS.
